After the official reveal by Sony at the 2011 E3, everyone is waiting (impatiently, I might add) to get their hands on a PS Vita.
The PlayStation Vita (named for the Latin word for Life) will augment reality by integrating the real world and gaming world. It also completely integrates PS3 gaming, so that a person playing on the Vita can play against a PS3 console user.
There are dual cameras, one facing front and one in back, which allows for some games to use the background of the real world as the background in the game. A 5-inch touchscreen and touchpad backing allows for multi-dimensional experiences, instead of just using the dual analog sticks for navigation.
The PS Vita is already listed for pre-order on Amazon. The 3G version will go for $249, while the WiFi version is $299. Both use AT&T, and Amazon guarantees that you will pay the cheapest price if the rate for some reason drops.
Make sure you pre-order your own device, since it will most likely sell out long before the PS Vita holiday 2011 release date.
